ACER Group has announced the release of the ACER CNC Mini Bed-Mill with Fagor 8055i Control, which is offered in two models: 10" x 50" and 10" x 54" table size.
Features of the ACER CNC Mini Bed-Mill include the E-mill head, 5 HP inverter, variable speed 0-3, 650 RPM to maintain set speed and it can run in both three and single phase. Machine is HRC 52-degrees hardened and ground way and table.
The Fagor 8055i CNC control is included. The control features a full-color LCD display, 3D contouring capabilities and standard menus. "The control can run both complex thru CAD/CAM, G, M code program and can run easy conversational program with graphic help manual," said a company spokesperson. "Simply fill in the blanks with the specs and it is ready to roll.
"The ACER CNC Mini Bed-Mill features a large travel (X-Y-Z 28" x 20" x 21") and offers extra Y-travel for large parts and efficient machine setup. The spindle center to column face is 24" and provides a small footprint with large machining capability. Max spindle nose to table of 25.5" is intended to make machining taller parts easier. The machine is designed with 4,600 lbs. certified Meehanite casting, provides stability and is damping free, which allows heavy machining. It is easy to learn, operate and transition from manual with handwheel to CNC operation."
