Dillon Manufacturing, Inc. has announced that it can now provide cast aluminum (356-T6) full grip jaws up to 24" in diameter. The wrap-around type top jaws can provide minimum jaw force for thin-walled parts and distribute the gripping pressure over more of the workpiece's surface helping to maintain repetitive accuracy. This type of jaw can reduce distortion and provide more friction for drive during turning operations, the company said. The jaws must be qualified on the chuck that is to hold the workpiece.

The full grip top jaws are available from stock to fit chuck sizes ranging from 6 to 24 inch diameter. Both standard height and extra high jaws are available. The jaws can be adapted to mount both manual and power chucks.
