Doerken MKS-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG, parent company of Doerken Corporation USA, has announced the opening of a new laboratory for the chemical analysis of its multi-functional, non-chrome micro layer corrosion protection systems.

The new Analytics Department will provide a key function between research and development and production. Its role will include analyzing and evaluating new formulas and refining methods of analysis that will help in better understanding the chemistry of the coatings in order to continually optimize product quality. To further augment the value of the new lab, batches will also be regularly taken out of the live production process and analyzed to ensure that Doerken's global network of coating companies gets supplied with products of a consistently high quality, the company said.
