The (RAM) is designed to be a compact, easy-to-use manual measurement system with full three-axis measurement capability and full function Measure-X 5.

StarLite features RAM's exclusive Zoom 65 - 6.5:1 motorized zoom optics system for sharp, high-resolution imaging on a variety of part surfaces at on-screen magnifications ranging from 35 x to over 175 x. StarLite features high brightness, cool-operating LED illumination with each light source optimized for use with the Zoom 65 system. The CompuFocus automatic focus tool enables any operator to obtain the optimum, preset focus for best results.

StarLite offers a 6" x 3" x 5" XYZ measuring volume, with ergonomic coarse/fine stage position controls for each axis. 1.0 micron resolution linear scales on all axes enable precise point-to-point measurements.

"StarLite is equally capable of simple walk-up measurements or running fully automated part routines," said a company spokesperson. "Measure-X software guides the operator to move the stage to facilitate each measurement. Measure-X provides a full range of measurement tools to handle almost any geometry. The FeatureFinder tool automatically senses the feature geometry and applies the appropriate point spacing and fitting tools to measure the feature with a single click.

"The all-new Measure-X version 5 software includes an AutoCorrelate feature which automatically recognizes pre-programmed parts and performs alignment, making it easier to stage and measure parts without fixtures. Measure-X offers full CAD import and automatic part routine creation from the CAD file."
