TECHNI Waterjet will be featuring the QUANTUM Electric Servo Pump ESP66, TJ3000-X2 (5' x 10') Waterjet Cutting Machine and the new Abrasive Pump and Hopper at WESTEC 2012. The company's booth will be performing demonstrations throughout the show on the Techjet-X2 Premium range of machines, which are designed to offer high quality and accuracy, the company said.

The QUANTUM Electric Servo Pump incorporates a servomotor directly enveloping a high load, precision ball screw. The ball screw directly houses the ceramic plungers, which reciprocate back and forth to create the pumping action, in much the same way as a hydraulic cylinder works on an intensifier pump.

The Techjet-X2 is built to the highest tolerances and incorporates linear scale feedback to ensure high accuracy of motion, the company said. By mapping the entire cutting area with a laser-calibrated digital encoder, the motion system can deliver positional accuracy of 0.0005" (0.01 mm) and cutting speeds of up to 1,000 IPM or 25 m/min.

TECHNI Waterjet will also introduce the Abrasive Delivery Pump and Hopper System which incorporates an abrasive pump that eliminates all mechanical moving parts from coming into contact with the abrasive material (garnet), the company said. This is intended to ensure consistent abrasive flow to the cutting head for thousands of hours, with no maintenance.
