Yamazen Inc., importer and distributor of Brother Industries, LTD. TC products, has introduced the new High Torque Performance Series line of tapping centers. Designed to support the "Right Size Machining" concept, the TC-S2DN HT, TC-S2DN-O HT and TC-R2B HT expand the base model cutting capabilities by increasing torque to 92 Nm (68 ft-lbs) and peak output to 26.2 kW (35 HP). The result is a lean yet powerful machine capable of drilling up to 30mm and tapping M27 holes in carbon steel, said the company.

Supporting these new spindle configurations is the Performance Series platform that features the AC servo-driven drum style tool changer in 14 or 21 ATC with a quick 0.9 second tool to tool time. The TC-S2DN HT and TC-S2DN-O HT models are configured as single table bed-type machines with travels as large as 15.7" (Y) and 27.6" (X) while the TC-R2B HT features Brother's high-speed AC servo-driven quick table that rotates the two pallet surfaces 180-degrees while changing tools for true non-stop machining. All HT High Torque models are equipped with dual-contact BBT spindles that offer increased rigidity in heavier cutting applications.

In addition to the Performance Series platform, Brother offers Technology Series machines in a variety of models that include configurations with high-speed AC servo-driven quick tables and up to 40 tool twin-arm ATC magazines. All Brother TC products feature Brother's B-00 CNC control that offers both G-Code and conversational programming languages.
