Chiron America, Inc. has announced the completion of a 20,000 sq. ft. expansion of its manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on February 9, 2012, with Cris Taylor, CEO; Dirk Zikeli, COO and Ross Clark, VP Sales at Chiron America, Inc.; Dr. Dirk Prust, Managing Director; Dr. Achim Degner, Managing Director and Gerhard Boehm, Sales Director at Chiron Werke GmbH - Germany, as well as Chiron America's employees and Chiron's dealer sales network in attendance.

The expansion was required due to the increased demand for Chiron machining center equipment by its customers, the company said. "This expansion will improve the efficiency of our business and provide the needed floor space required for our expanding markets in North America," said Taylor.

Chiron has increased its work force by 20% over the past year. "We are proud of the fact that we're adding jobs in our Charlotte facility and increasing US content in our products. This is crucial to our strategy for the North American market," said Taylor.
