Gosiger Kicks Off 2012 Event Lineup with HMC SeminarApril 1, 2012

Jake Schaefer, Gosiger Applications Engineer, demonstrating the part process to attendees at Gosiger Southeast's first Lunch and Learn Event for 2012.
Gosiger Southeast opened its 2012 event season with a "Lunch and Learn" event titled, "Lower Your Costs By Going Horizontal." The event was held at Gosiger's Ocoee, FL, facility. The Gosiger Educational Team showed attendees how they can lower their overall costs by switching to a horizontal machining center. The presentations that were presented evaluated and compared the advantages of utilizing an HMC for the production of one part versus the traditional VMC approach. Representatives from Kennametal and Esprit were on hand to offer information on the tooling and technology that was presented.
The one-day seminar, held in February, began with presentations by Gosiger, Kennametal and Esprit followed by live demonstrations on the Okuma MB4000H machine and the Hardinge GX1000 with OSP control. A short question and answer session was also on the agenda. Lunch was provided to attendees along with door prizes. Each attendee was also given a replica of the part that was created in the live demonstration portion of the program.
"Gosiger is pleased to be able to offer informative learning events to our customers on a regular basis," said Gosiger's East Coast Executive Director Randy Ditch. "We have committed to a full lineup of events for 2012. Our topics really address the needs of what our customers must have in order to stay informed and competitive in today's world. This is an event lineup that I am sure will be very popular with our customers."
