PTM Corporation has announced the addition of the ARO DC Adaptive Welder at the company's Fair Haven, MI, metal-stamping facility. "The ARO Welding Technologies group specializes in welding equipment and systems to a variety of industries including automotive," said a company spokesperson. "The ARO adaptive welder simplifies operation, saving time and increasing productivity. Unlike a regular welder, the ARO Adaptive Welder adapts to multiple stack-ups of material in thickness variations without altering the program. The welders advanced controls take the guess work out of what the optimal welding parameters would be for a program, decreasing operator error. The welder offers monitored welding controls to manage peak production and quality assurance.
