SEYI America, Inc. has introduced its new SD series 1-point Direct Drive Servo Press. The SD1 220 ton straight side servo press can replace a traditional two-stage die, hydraulic press process, the company said. It is designed to utilize freeform slide programmability and hydraulic die cushion. The press features an advanced high-torque (14,000 Nm), 340 RPM motor and direct-drive transmission, advanced frame design and state-of-the-art servo controller, equipped with eight pre-programmed slide motion profiles and freeform motion, according to the company.
