Sodick to Feature EDM Technology at MFG4April 1, 2012
Sodick Inc. will be featuring its latest technology in Brooks Associates booth at MFG4 2012, including the AD30L Sinker EDM and the AQ400L Wire EDM.
"The AD30L Sinker EDM features Sodick's linear motor technology. A linear motor drive system sustains high speed axes movements and instantaneous response," said a company spokesperson. "There is no mechanical contact within the linear motor drive system, resulting in stable machining, accuracy, reliability and maintainability. The AD30L is eco-friendly and includes Sodick's SVC circuit, which is a zero electrode wear circuit that enables a high-quality surface finish. The AD30L has a 12.59 x 7.87 x 9.84 inch X-, Y-, Z-axes and can accommodate workpieces up to 1,200 lbs. The AD30L comes standard with a 10-year positioning accuracy guarantee.
"The AQ400L is a rigid machine that is built using ceramic components. The AQ400L comes standard with a 10-year positioning accuracy guarantee on its linear motor drives. In addition, the AQ400L features the all-new FJ (Fixed Jet) AWT. The FJ AWT has a reliable threading rate for both submerged and non-submerged threading. The AQ400L comes with a tension servo function that controls and stabilizes the wire tension during machining to ensure highly accurate performance. The AQ400L has an X, Y, Z axes of 15.75 x 11.81 x 9.84 inches."
