Gosiger Mid/Atlantic opened its 2012 event season with an informative "Lunch and Learn" event titled, "Lower Your Costs By Going Horizontal." The event was held at Gosiger's Exton, PA, facility. The Gosiger Educational Team showed attendees how they can lower their overall costs by switching to a horizontal machining center. The presentations evaluated and compared the advantages of utilizing an HMC for the production of one part versus the traditional VMC approach. Representatives from Kennametal and Esprit were on hand to offer information on the tooling and technology presented.

The one-day seminar began with presentations by Gosiger, Kennametal and Esprit followed by live demonstrations on the Okuma MB4000H machine and the Hardinge GX1000 with OSP control. A short question-and-answer session was also on the agenda. Lunch was provided to attendees along with door prizes.
