POWER FEED M924
Designed especially for production environments, the second-generation POWER FEED M924 features reinforced, optimized rake and relief angles and free cutting action. "The new AlCrNX engineered coating has been shown to offer better heat protection for significantly longer tool life," said the spokesperson.
In tests conducted in-house, the POWER FEED M924 end mill removed 470% to 907% more metal per tool in 17-4 PH stainless steel and 4140 steel, respectively. In titanium, the M924 removed 46% more material.
enDURO M525
IMCO worked with highly regarded aerospace component producers in 2010/2011 to develop the enDURO M525 line specifically for use with titanium and stainless steel on both high-power and lower-power machining centers.
"Tests with multiple aerospace producers resulted in significant, repeatable increases in metal removal rates, speeds and tool life with exceptional finishes. enDURO M525 end mills produced up to 570% longer tool life and a 40% decrease in cycle time. Runs with heat-treated 15-5 stainless and titanium resulted in no warping, no scrap and extended tool life even while running at higher feed rates and speeds," said a spokesperson.
Omega-6: Finishing and More - Times 6
Omega-6 six-flute end mills help maximize productivity with a range of operations in everything from malleable cast iron and high-temp alloys to titanium.
Its ultra-fine grain carbide core provides durability for machining in Inconel, Hastalloy and other high-temp alloys. IMCO's advanced TiAlNX coating protects the tool in high heat, and Omega-6 tools can mill steels heat-treated to 58-62 HRC with or without coolant. (Running without coolant requires the use of high-speed, high-efficiency machining techniques and continuous tool paths.)
