Designed to simplify and accelerate the process from the idea to the finished product, CELOS apps form a basis for paperless manufacturing. Operating in a way that resembles a smartphone, CELOS apps provide the user with integrated and digitized management, documentation and visualization of order, process and machine data. CELOS is compatible with PPS and ERP systems. CELOS can also be networked with CAD / CAM applications and is ready for future-oriented CELOS app extensions.
Available for all new high-tech machines by DMG MORI, CELOS provides the user with a standardized user interface with touch functionality. CELOS apps include Status Monitor, Job Manager and Job Assistant.
The starting point for the interaction between operator and machine is the Status Monitor. Here, CELOS visualizes the current monitoring of the machine with regard to the process. The Status Monitor supplies important key performance indicators on the current order as well as on the order progress and notifies the operator with special icons and text messages regarding any errors or upcoming maintenance work.
Job Manager and Job Assistant support the machine operator with network integrated planning, preparing, optimizing and systematic processing of new machining jobs.
Job Manager is designed to combine all manufacturing-relevant data for the NC program, workpiece, tools, clamping devices, etc. to a machining job and make the data instantly visualized. This information required for an order can also be managed in a structured way. The data are quickly available during later processing or for repeat orders.
The digitally processed orders can then be systematically filed at a later stage with Job Assistant. During this process, first the availability of all NC programs and equipment (tools, devices, etc.) required for machining is checked. Then a dialogue guides the operator through the set-up process and preparation of the machining job. Respective queries and necessary confirmations are designed to minimize operator errors. Then machining is approved. According to the company, this process ensures a high degree of machining reliability even for complicated components or complex orders.
"When Job Manager and Job Assistant interact with one another, this integration demonstrates the excellent scalability of CELOS for different company sizes," said a company spokesperson. "For instance, small companies with a high level of personal responsibility of the workers benefit from the option of paperless production. Large companies, which are already widely networked, can organize and use the different competencies of their employees through these two production applications. A skilled worker can first decidedly prepare all orders in Job Manager. Then the Job Assistant instructs and guides the machine operator in detail. The respective access rights can then be organized with the customizable status of the new SMARTkey," explained the spokesperson. "Each employee needs to log in with SMARTkey at the 21.5 inch ERGOline."
Twelve different CELOS apps, including the Control App, can be started centrally via the App Selector. This CELOS app provides users with the option to switch to the usual control environment of the respective CNC by tapping once on the respective icon on the ERGOline's multitouch screen. Control App is available with controls of Mitsubishi (with MAPPS V) and Siemens (with OPERATE 4.5 on Sinumerik 840D solutionline).
