Horizontal Lathe Aimed at Oil and Gas Industries

Absolute Machine Tools has recently introduced the new You Ji AH-06/1000 Horizontal Lathe, specifically developed to replace 30 year-old heavy duty turning machinery in the oil and gas industries.

According to the company, the machine features a rigid 45-degree slant bed with a 55 degree cross slide inclination. The 12 station hydraulic turret handles the torque delivered by the 60 HP spindle motor and 3 speed geared headstock. The rigid spindle structure has a bar capacity of 6.05" (9" optional) with a 24" three-jaw hydraulic chuck. Turning capacities feature a maximum cutting diameter of 35.4" and a maximum turning length of 39" with optional turning lengths of 59", 79", 118" and 157". The AH-06 has a base machine weight of nearly 40,000 lbs. for the shortest bed length version.
