Makino uses Siemens PLM Software technology to enhance its process and turnkey engineering services to the aircraft engine market. According to the company, Makino can now offer its current and future customers the same technology that companies use to enhance product development decision-making.
Siemens PLM Software is a provider of PLM software and services. As part of the partnership, Makino is able to augment its current offerings with Siemens PLM Software's NX software, an integrated program for computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering (CAD/CAM/CAE).

According to the company, the adoption of NX enables Makino engineers to more clearly and seamlessly view and work with part designs in customers' native format, such as the aircraft jet engine market where the use of NX is prolific.
