Thermoplastic Hydraulic Hoses

Kurt Hydraulics' full line of thermoplastic hose and R7 couplings are designed for a range of applications.

The SAE R100 R7 is a nylon hose designed for medium pressure hydraulic systems, such as machine tool applications and lift equipment. The R7 hose has a construction of thermoplastic nylon inner tube, synthetic textile braiding as reinforcement, and a urethane cover. The R7 hose hydraulic hose is rated between 1,000 and 3,000 PSI working pressure, and 4,000 and 12,000 PSI minimum burst pressure. The R7 hose is available in eight sizes between 1/8" I.D. and 1" I.D., and is also available in twin line hoses.

The SAE R100 R18 and SAE R100 R8 thermoplastic nylon hoses are designed for high-pressure hydraulic systems, and suited for use in construction, agricultural, off-highway vehicle and plant maintenance equipment. These hoses have a construction of thermoplastic nylon inner tube, internal reinforcements and a black urethane cover. The R18 hose hydraulic hose is rated at 3,000 PSI working pressure, and the R8 is rated between 3,500 and 5,000 PSI working pressure. The R18 hose is available in four sizes from 1/4" to 1/2" I.D, and the R8 hose is available in four sizes from 3/16" to 1/2" I.D., and is also available in twin line hoses.

The R7, R18 and R8 hoses are available in nonconductive versions for use in applications that require electrical component isolation such as power and telephone mobile equipment (bucket trucks), lubrication lines, machine tools, blowout preventer control lines, hydraulic lifts, agricultural equipment and construction machinery.

The working temperature range for all Kurt Hydraulics thermoplastic hoses is -40 °F to 212 °F. The urethane covering is abrasion, ozone and weather resistant.

In addition to common hose configurations, Kurt Hydraulics can also produce specialty, multi-hose set-ups. Kurt Hydraulics' custom thermoplastic multi-hose creations can include as many hose lines as an application requires.

Kurt Hydraulics has a complete line of couplings and fittings for thermoplastic hoses available. Kurt Hydraulics offers the R7 coupling for use with thermoplastic hoses. This line includes both crimped and swaged varieties. The hose fittings are made in the USA from U.S. steel.
