VMC Built for Mold Makers and Job Shops

Available from CNC Systems, Inc., the YCM NTV158B Series of vertical machining centers (VMCs) features rapid feedrates with large Y-axis designed for mold makers and job shops. Additionally, the Z-axis dual ballscrews drive system and large roller type guideways on all axes helps ensure accuracies at high feedrates and is suitable for various heavy cutting applications.

With a YCM patented T-base structure, the machine footprint can be reduced effectively while maintaining an overhang-free table movement that is supported by a high-rigid base to help ensure accuracy, with heavy loads on the table. "YCM's BIG-PLUS IDD 10,000 RPM spindle helps ensure inline direct transmission and is designed to maximize both spindle and tool life even under harsh working environments, and most importantly part finishes," said a company spokesperson.

A high speed axial movement with roller type guideways provides accuracy, durability and rigidity. The cast in double nut high precision Tsubaki ball screws are directly driven by a servomotor to eliminate axial backlash and vibration. The NTV 158B is equipped with a loaded FANUC control with features including max. look ahead, spindle and tool load monitoring and more.
