Measuring Parts for the Micro Manufacturing Industry



Micro-Vu Corporation has introduced a new version of InSpec Metrology Software for measuring parts in the micro manufacturing industry. The new version enhances the measuring capability of Micro-Vu measuring machines to measure features in the micron to millimeter range.

Micro-Vu measuring machines magnify small features using an optical magnification range to 14X. On-screen magnification, using a 28" monitor, magnifies features to a range of approximately 1,000X, enabling visual inspection.

"InSpec software is installed on a base of over 10,000 Micro-Vu measuring machines worldwide," said a company spokesperson. The new version is available at no charge. The new version is standard on all new Micro-Vu machines.

Features of the new version include:

  • Form Fit capability integrated into InSpec can eliminate the need for third party software. Easy to see display of feature form with tolerance bands
  • Points View screen helps to visualize defects
  • Outlier rejection built into the vision tools helps improve measurements for small features
  • Automated exporting of measuring results and snapshots helps improve the analysis of measurements.

Inspec can be demonstrated on Micro-Vu automated multi sensor Excel and Vertex machines. A manual version of InSpec can be demonstrated on Micro-Vu's Sol machine. Contact Micro-Vu to arrange a demonstration.
