4C Lens Technology for Auto-Darkening Welding Helmets

The 4C lens technology upgrade to Lincoln Electric's VIKING welding helmets provides a filtering lens with clear view of the welding puddle.

The 4C stands for the following attributes:

  • Clarity - Optical clarity at high EN379 1/1/1/1 levels
  • Color - Real color view
  • Carat - Lightweight auto-darkening filter
  • Cut - Even shade from any angle.

Available on the 1840, 2450 and 3350 series helmets, this technology is designed to reduce eye strain by minimizing the traditional green coloring in the helmet view screen in both active and inactive states. 4C technology can be used in a range of industries that use multiple welding processes, such as stick, MIG and TIG, including general fabrication, power generation, shipbuilding, structural, offshore and pipeline.

All three VIKING series with 4C lens technology feature tilt adjustment to meet each user's specific ergonomic needs. The pivot-style headgear distributes weight evenly, is balanced for all-day use and features fast switching speeds, large viewing area and no flickering in low-amp TIG applications.
