Spy Themed Manufacturing Event

Modig Machine Tool Sweden is hosting an event in Irving, TX, at the Hartwig location, featuring "Secret Agents in Manufacturing." This spy-themed event, Mission: Operation Game Changer, will showcase intelligent aluminum milling on the Modig HHV BarMill.

"This machine tool boasts 30% savings in raw material usage and a similar savings in production waste removal," said a Hartwig spokesperson. "Cycle times are proven to be 50-70% faster than current machining methods for industries such as aerospace, automotive, construction, firearms and more."

In one time study, a structural aerospace part that required 27 minutes to manufacture on a conventional system was milled on the HHV BarMill in 11 minutes. "Imagine feeding 200 inch bar stock into a machine which rotates the bar to have access from all sides," said Modig President David Modig. ”We are not talking about lathes; we are talking about intelligent aluminum milling. No sitting and waiting to manually feed, clamp and cut stock."

”With operator intervention cut in half, direct labor expenses are significantly reduced. This machine addresses raw material utilization and an opportunity to improve efficiencies,” said Modig. “We feel the Modig HHV line to be a solution that provides companies with production advantages that directly improve the bottom line.”

Founded in 1948, Modig has continuously produced a range of HHV machining centers for manufacturing components from aluminum extrusions and bars, the six-axis FlexiMill and now the RigiMill – another product from Modig for machining longer aluminum and titanium parts.

The event will be held at the North Texas Modig distributor location. For more information on the event or to register, please visit: www.hartwiginc.com/modig.
