Grinding Steady Rests for Shaft Type Work

SMW Autoblok has expanded its SRG Grinding Steady Rest lineup. Specifically designed to support shaft type workpieces on grinding machines, the SRG Steady Rests are suited for crankshaft and camshaft applications. Multiple new sizes are available, providing a clamping diameter range of 12 to 136 mm.

Horizontal and vertical fine adjustments of the grinding center make high precision grinding possible. In combination with the retractable arms, these allow for rapid set-up, making this unique steady rest suitable for follow down grinding as well. As with many of SMW Autoblok's steady rest designs, the SRG line also features a port for compressed air, stroke control and central lubrication.
