Sager Electronics Sponsors STEM Program in Local School District

Sager Electronics, a North American distributor of interconnect, power and electromechanical components, has announced its support for the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) program at Middleborough High School, with a special emphasize on the development of a robotics team.

A sponsorship check was presented to the Middleborough School Committee by Senior Vice President of Marketing for Sager Electronics Faris Aruri, who remarked, "On behalf of our 350 employees and our 125 Middleborough based employees, Sager Electronics is proud to sponsor the STEM program and its development of a robotics team. We hope it will inspire our local students to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math."

In accepting the donation, Superintendent of Schools Brian Lynch stated, "We are thrilled to receive this kind of support from Sager Electronics, a company with deep roots in the community. We hope this will be the start of a wonderful partnership between Sager and the Middleborough Public Schools, leading to more growth and learning opportunities for our students."

"Everyone understands the importance of STEM learning, which is why we are delighted to have a partner like Sager Electronics, a company committed to encouraging an interest in the sciences," noted Dr. Melanie Gates, Director of Secondary Education for STEM-Middleborough Public Schools. She continued, "This sponsorship will serve to strengthen our STEM program and invigorate the creation of a robotics team."
