Knuth Machine Tool to Host Productivity Workshop

KNUTH Machine Tool (Lincolnshire, IL) will host its first annual Productivity Workshop with an emphasis on machine tool efficiency. The one-day event will be held November 30 with a morning session at 8:30 AM and then a repeat of the workshop in the afternoon session at 1:00 PM. Lunch and refreshments will be served.
The workshop will include live demonstrations of a variety of KNUTH machine tools with an emphasis on Fagor CNC technological advantages.
Industry experts will present a variety of industry specific technologies and services. Presenters will include:
- Daniel Maerklin, President, KNUTH Machine Tools USA, will present a history of KNUTH, including a look at the present day and future.
- Frank Fontana, Vice President of Sales, KNUTH Machine Tools USA, will introduce the KNUTH machine tool line-up.
- Goetz Waehner, National Service Manager, KNUTH Machine Tools USA, will discuss the KNUTH service organization as well as preventative maintenance tips and basic electrical troubleshooting in hands-on course.
- Mark Menconi, Account Manager, MTI Sales, Kennametal, will preview the future of tooling with a presentation on Innovations 18, the latest in cutting tool technology launching in 2018.
- Alex Escamilla, Midwest Sales Manager, Fagor Automation: as KNUTH's automation partner, Escamilla will present the Fagor Automation CNC and DRO product line-up based upon the Power of Simplicity philosophy.
- Souli Intounas, Technical Manager, Fagor Automation, will discuss how the Fagor Automation Service Department Organization and the Philosophy of Lifetime Support can help customers.
- Jim Jackson, Sales Manager, FactoryWiz Monitoring and DNC, will demonstrate how to monitor shop floor machine tool activity and production output.
- Harvey Sullivan, Relationship Manager, US Bank, will present the advantages and disadvantages of leasing or financing, current rates and incentives, including section 179 tax deduction.
Plenty of time will be allowed for networking, viewing technology and products and Q&A sessions.
Breakout sessions will also be available and include topics such as Fagor CNC simulators, live machine demonstrations, Factory Wiz demonstrations and a facility tour.
