PIP Global Appoints COO and Expands Marketing Team

Protective Industrial Products has appointed Thomas (Tom) C. Fry as Chief Operating Officer and expanded its marketing team with the addition of two seasoned marketing professionals.

Fry will report directly to President and CEO of PIP Global, Joe Milot Sr. In this new role, he will have direct responsibility for Sourcing and Procurement, Manufacturing, Warehousing and Logistics, Information Technology, Human Resources and Order Management. Fry will also focus his efforts on providing leadership and process improvement to drive accelerated organic growth and acquisition initiatives, as well as converging markets and global expansion.

"PIP is definitely an American success story," said Fry, "Its amazing growth path and focus on the customer experience is what attracted me to join this incredible team. I am truly excited to help continue this trend by bringing my experience and best practices to the executive team."

Prior to joining PIP, Fry held executive level operating roles with multiple organizations spanning from industrial filtration equipment to high-volume consumable products. Since 2010, he held key positions with Danaher Corporation. Fry contributed to growth across 10 business units. "He has been recognized for delivering breakthrough product quality improvements and implementing supply chain management changes to drastically improve on-time delivery and cost reduction," said a company spokesperson.

Fry earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy and a Master of Science degree from the University of Southern California.

We are on a very promising path and I look forward to working with Tom to achieve all of our goals," said Joe Milot Sr., in a recent address to PIP employees. "Through our mutual efforts, we will continue to develop PIP Global into a world class organization for the benefit of our customers, employees, suppliers and shareholders."

Fry will work out of PIP's headquarters in Latham, NY.

Eric Henzie has been hired as Marketing Manager of PIP Industrial Division to help support growth initiatives. He comes to PIP with nearly 20 years of experience holding a variety of marketing roles with Cabela's Inc. and Orvis. His most recent role was as marketing director for a manufacturer of industrial printing equipment.

Joining the Safety Works division is Andrew Sheridan who will be supporting major growth initiatives as Marketing Manager of PIP's retail and specialty markets. Sheridan has spent the past nine years in product and marketing manager roles at Cascades Tissue Group where he helped lead its product rationalization and rebranding efforts.

Anthony Di Giovanni, VP of Global Marketing, said, "We are preparing for continued accelerated growth driven by organic and acquisition initiatives as well as by converging markets, global expansion and new channels to market."
