Precision Metalforming Association Accepting Candidates for Management Development Academy

The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) has opened registration for the 13th class of its Management Development Academy (MDA).

MDA is a three-part series of expert-led workshops, facilitated debriefs, activities and interaction designed exclusively for supervisors and mid-level managers looking to advance their business and leadership acumen. Participants will learn practical skills and strategies on topics such as communication, management styles, diversity, finance and more.

MDA class 13 will kick off on July 31-August 2, 2023, in Cleveland, OH, followed by sessions on October 23-25, 2023, in Charlotte, NC; and January 29-31, 2024, in Tampa, FL. During each of these 2.5-day sessions, MDA instructors will share their knowledge and expertise with participants. Each class is limited to 30 participants, with MDA helping to develop a long-lasting network of peers and colleagues for participants to rely on as they grow their careers.

“MDA is the best educational program that I have attended,” said Torey Sweeney, Sales Engineer, A.J. Rose Manufacturing Co., an MDA class 11 graduate. “It gets all of the participants interacting with each other and fosters an open environment to share ideas and best practices. I learned a lot throughout the program and from the other participants who were there.”

Since its inception in 2011, more than 300 participants have graduated from the MDA program, with many earning expanded roles and responsibilities at their organizations—a direct result of the skills and confidence gained from being part of this program.

PMA is recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) recertification activities. The MDA program is worth 42 PDCs.
