










IMTS 2026: Air Turbine Tools to Showcase Full Range of High-Speed Pneumatic Tools, Spindles

At the show, visitors will see Pneumatic Hand Tools, Air Turbine Live Tools, CNC Spindles, and solutions for automation, lathes, and motors, with featured technologies built around the company’s patented, governed turbine technology that maintains high speed under cutting load. Air Turbine Tools will also show for the first time its tachometer display and reactive program control, which adjust programmed feedrate to optimize tool performance.
Highlighted products at the booth will represent a cross-section of Air Turbine Tools solutions for hand operations, Swiss-type lathe applications, micromachining, engraving, finishing, and small-tool CNC machining. Across these product lines, the company emphasizes cleaner and faster cutting, reduced cycle times, ultra-low vibration, oil-free operation, and consistent precision without heat build-up or duty cycle limitations.
Among the products on display will be the 822CX Air Turbine Live Tool engineered for Swiss-type lathes. Operating at governed speeds up to 60,000 and 80,000 RPM, the 822CX maintains the rated SFM required for successful machining with small tools, improving surface finish as well as tool performance and materially reducing cycle times. This revolutionary live tool just requires a connection to 90 PSI air and will be milling parts on a Tornos Swiss lathe at the booth.
The miniature 601 Series spindle at 65,000 or 90,000 RPM will also be featured at the booth. Powered by air through the machine spindle, the 601 adds governed high speed to five axis machines for micromachining and small-tool applications, while the 0.4HP, 50,000 RPM 625 Series Spindle is proven, precise and reliable in engraving, moldmaking, milling, microdrilling and finishing applications.
"Air Turbine Tools invites visitors to try its light, powerful hand tools including the 201 pencil tool and the 0145 angle hand tool," a company spokesperson said. "These high-speed cutting tools have the lowest vibration of any air tool range and do not require maintenance. With power at 0.2HP, these tools are effective at governed 65,000 RPM in deburring, finishing, engraving, weld removal, engine repair and other manual operations where operator comfort, access and consistent performance with no working time limits are essential."
An Okuma Genos M560V machine at the booth will demonstrate surfacing and engraving at 50,000 and 65,000 RPM and illustrate how Air Turbine Tools solutions are integrated with full automated loading into the most advanced machines to enhance small-tool performance. This exhibit will show attendees governed high-speed pneumatic spindles and tools in action improving part quality and increasing throughput across a range of industrial manufacturing applications.
For the first time, this Okuma M560V machine will feature the tachometer display added to Air Turbine Spindles. Not only will the display feature the actual cutting speed, but it will also feed cutting data to the machine for reactive adjustment of the rate of spindle advance. This minimizes vibration in the tool and optimizes finish.
Additionally, a Robodrill Machine will demonstrate milling of fishing lure using Air Turbine Tools’ Drill Tap series at 65,000 RPM and 90,000 RPM with 2 micron precision at AirTurbine Tool's booth.
