MTConnect Institute Releases Version 1.4.0 of MTConnect Standard

The MTConnect Institute, standard development organization for MTConnect, has released Version 1.4.0 of the MTConnect standard. MTConnect is an open-source communication standard for interoperability designed to offer a semantic vocabulary for manufacturing equipment and devices. This version expands the "Devices," "Streams" and "Interfaces" models, adds many new data items and includes extensive edits for clarity and usability.
Version 1.4.0 and all archived releases are available for free download at www.mtconnect.org/standard.
The MTConnect Institute develops the MTConnect standard to foster greater interoperability between manufacturing controls, devices and software applications.
