EMUGE, Okuma, OPEN MIND Technologies Partner in September 11 Technology Event

EMUGE-FRANKEN USA, a manufacturer of high-performance taps, thread mills, end mills, drills, other rotary tools and precision clamping solutions, announced that together with its partners Okuma America Corporation and OPEN MIND Technologies, it will host a complimentary Machining Technology Event at Okuma North America, 11900 Westhall Drive, Charlotte, NC on September 11, 2025 from 10 AM 2 PM.

At the event, a 4140 steel structural housing hinge with a 5-inch overhang and large 3/4-inch hole will be machined under conditions designed to test stress under full forces.

Manufacturers that depend on absolute precision and reliability, such as those in the aerospace, medical and mold/die industries, are encouraged to attend, according to an EMUGE-FRANKEN spokesperson. Lunch will be served a the free event.

The machining setup will include the new EMUGE-FRANKEN EvoGrip Modular Workholding System featuring a standard centering vise with the highest clamping forces in the industry. Offering massive overhang stability, EvoGrip Centering Vises are manually operated and engineered for precise centric clamping, creating an extreme holding force of up to 75 kN.  

The robust 5-Axis Okuma MU8000V Vertical Machining Center provides high efficiency machining, high-feed roughing, and finishing with EMUGE Circle Segment end mills. Advanced OPEN MIND hyperMILL CAM toolpaths enable increased speed, control and flawless finishes.
