Automation-Ready Vises

Royal Products is bringing enhanced part clamping capabilities to robotic load/unload applications with its new SLV Automation Vises and Receivers.

"As a result of their box way construction and elevated drive spindles, SLV vises provide such extreme grip force and rigidity that they completely eliminate the need to cut dovetails," said a company spokesperson.

On the new automation-ready vise models, a gripping cleat can be mounted on the short side of the vise body, increasing staging density for multivise automation systems.

The SLV Automation Receiver, a complement to the SLV Automation Vise, is designed to maximize unmanned production on CNC machining centers.

They feature spring-clamp, air-open functionality, which helps ensure that the vise remains secure, even in the event of air failure. They can be used with any workholding device that incorporates a standard 52 mm stud pattern.

Visitors can see a live demonstration of these products at IMTS booth 431622.
