VARILEX Basic Kit Includes Essentials for Grinding and Blending All Metals

CS Unitec's VARILEX Basic Starter Kit includes a VARILEX WSF 1800 rotary grinding and blending tool, as well as PLANTEX CERAMIC flap discs for the blending of all metals.

The VARILEX WSF 1800 speed-controlled surface finishing and blending tool can perform a variety of tasks, from rough grinding and blending to polishing up to a mirror finish. Designed with a powerful 15 Amp (1,710 W) motor and infinite variable-speed control (2,000 - 7,600 RPM), the VARILEX features a tachogenerator to keep the power output and torque constant while operating at any RPM, resulting in a uniform finish.

CS Unitec's PLANTEX CERAMIC high-performance flap discs offer enhanced grinding performance on stainless steel and all hard-to-grind metals. The kit includes two 40 grit and two 60 grit PLANTEX CERAMIC discs and two 40 grit and two 60 grit PLANTEX discs. The PLANTEX discs feature a backing plate made of natural hemp with a polypropylene binder. Safer working conditions result from the elimination of fiberglass, mineral fibers and epoxy resin in the backing plate. This hemp fiber high-tech compound also provides high insulating, vibration damping and noise-reducing properties. The disc automatically reduces in size during grinding or can be trimmed manually using cutting tools allowing 100% utilization of the abrasive fabric. These environmentally friendly discs are designed to minimize pollution from production to waste disposal.

The starter kit includes a wheel guard for discs up to 5" diameter and the patented EASY-LOCK clamping nut and spindle lock button, which allows the user to change discs in seconds, without tools. The spindle thread connection is a standard 5/8"-11 UNC.
