Servo Feed Press Feed Control

Dallas Industries will demonstrate a Dallas DRF-308 Servo Feed equipped with its latest control technology that features three modes of operation in one control package at FABTECH 2014. According to the company, the control provides time-based servo feed synchronization, auto compensation for on-the-fly increase in press speed and the ProfileSelect technology, which minimizes electrical and mechanical stress on stamping equipment and material.

"ProfileSelect uses a sinusoidal profile, (cam motion) providing a smooth motion and material feed, utilizing 100% of the press feed window while putting less stress on all mechanics. ProfileSelect is ideally suited for progressive die work when the part's cosmetics are a factor or when running delicate material," said a company spokesperson.

The exhibit will feature an analysis system for communicating to the plant floor while monitoring and analyzing equipment efficiencies and providing reports. The company will also feature upgrade packages that make existing pressfeed equipment more efficient.
