Chuck Stop Sets

The Dunham Tool Company, a division of Lisle Corporation, has introduced two chuck stop sets to its workholding line. The LD2350 three piece chuck stop set includes 9/16", 3/4" and 1" chuck stops. The LD2350 five piece chuck stop set includes 9/16", 3/4", 1", 1-3/16" and 1-3/8" chuck stops.
The chuck stops offer a repeatable surface to locate parts in 3-jaw chuck applications including rotary tables, cylindrical grinders and lathes. "The tool eliminates the need for unsafe use of parallels or spacers that can cause a hazard for operators and equipment, and provides faster set-ups and repeatable results for multipart applications," said a company spokesperson. Each chuck stop has a 1/2" diameter center hole to allow some clearance for drilling or other operations and to avoid drill damage to the chuck stop. The jaw gap is large enough to accept 1-1/2" width jaws.
Each chuck stop is made of Durable E- coated aluminum for longer life. It can be used with workpiece diameter range of 1-1/8" to 5-1/2". The three powerful magnets will hold lightweight chuck stop firmly in place against the chuck face. The chuck stops are also available individually.
