(l-r) Bob St. Aubins, President, Bystronic Inc., and William D. McLeod, Mayor, Hoffman Estates, IL.

In Bystronic's new Experience Center, customers can experience current and future technologies and services for the sheet metal working world.

Bystronic recently conducted an official groundbreaking ceremony for its new advanced Experience Center and U.S. corporate headquarters. The new 162,875-sq. ft. facility will be located in the western Chicago suburb of Hoffman Estates, IL, directly off of Interstate 90. "The investment in the new facility demonstrates Bystronic's continued long-term commitment to providing innovative products, services and solutions for the U.S. market," said a company spokesperson.

The Experience Center will feature an advanced showroom, where visitors can experience Bystronic innovations first-hand with an entire range of sheet metal processing solutions. These include: the latest technologies for laser cutting, integrated automation and storage solutions, flexible bending systems, tube and profile processing solutions, a software landscape that covers the entire sheet metal processing chain and smart services with customized live demonstrations. Bystronic will therefore demonstrate how sheet metal products are manufactured in the age of advanced automation, digital networking and intelligent services.

The new facility will feature a machine assembly area for laser and automation systems that further enhances Bystronic's commitment to the market by creating and sustaining local U.S. manufacturing jobs. The Experience Center will serve as the new hub for Bystronic U.S. business operations, including sales, service, spare parts and the refurbishing of used machines.

The new facility will be completed by the summer of 2019. Until then, Bystronic will continue to operate from its Elgin, IL, facility.
