New Fiber Laser Technology

The Muratec LS 3015 GC laser is Murata Machinery's latest innovation in fiber laser technology. "The GC fiber laser was engineered to bring a cost-efficient precision laser to the market while upholding the quality synonymous with the Muratec brand," said a Murata spokesperson.

Designed with a compact, high-rigidity frame, the LS 3015GC features a reduced footprint on the shop floor while preserving stability for edge quality. This machine's low power consumption reduces operating costs and maintenance time.

The LS 3015 GC was engineered with an upgraded drive and integrated flying optics system, and can cut through both ferrous and nonferrous metals including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass and bronze. For laser marking, the fiber beam output control enables a stable laser irradiation process in a low power band resulting in a high-quality marking process.

The machine's MVHS controls provide continuous monitoring for process parameters outside normal range, and alerts the operator when abnormal parameters are detected-preventing poor part quality. Additionally, the control's mode selection provides options for standard quality and high-quality parts production to meet varying part requirements.

Like all Muratec fabrication machines, the LS 3015GC is automation-ready and can be integrated with the FN 3015TL sheet metal loader for ultimate process efficiency. "When paired with the automatic loader, Murata Machinery customers have seen as much as double the production capacity due to significant increases in green-light time," said the spokesperson.
