Matsuura Machinery Announces Appointments

Matsuura Machinery USA announced that David Hudson has been promoted to President, in accordance with the company's management succession plan.

David Hudson

Hudson most recently served as Matsuura's vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to 2017, he was Matsuura Machinery USA Inc.'s Western regional sales manager, a role he maintained since 2013.

"We look forward to David's ongoing contributions in supporting our customers' success, maintaining our market leadership and driving growth across our business," said Katsutoshi Matsuura, President of Matsuura Machinery Corporation.

Hudson previously served as senior sales consultant for Selway Machine Tool, Inc. and as president of Mil-O-Matic Inc., a Southern California aerospace machine shop that his father, Milo Hudson, founded in 1972.

Hudson replaces Craig St. John, who announced his retirement from Matsuura Machinery USA in December 2021.

Billy Bogue

With Hudson assuming the role of President, Billy Bogue was promoted to Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Bogue most recently served as national sales manager.

With a career spanning more than 35 years, Bogue brings senior-level leadership experience and a proven track record in the machine tool industry.

"Billy is the right person for this significant role given his demonstrated success in building strong customer partnerships. He is an invaluable addition to Matsuura's executive team, and I look forward to working more closely with him in his expanded leadership capacity," Matsuura said.

Bogue holds an MBA from Saint Leo University and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Columbia College.

Andrew Templin

Matsuura Machinery USA also announced Andrew Templin has joined the Matsuura USA Sales Team as Midwest Regional Sales Manager.

With nearly 20 years of professional experience, Templin possesses proficiency in the management of multi-faceted sales channels, development of new business opportunities and is a solutions-oriented customer service advocate.

"Andrew is a motivated professional with comprehensive experience in CNC machine tool sales and collaborative partnerships with engineering and manufacturing divisions," Hudson said. "He complements our growing team at Matsuura USA during a time of exponential growth. His breadth of experience and knowledge will enhance Matsuura's ability to provide quality, innovative manufacturing solutions to the marketplace."

Templin's professional focal points include developing new market opportunities, strategic planning, cross-functional team leadership, complex problem-solving, client relationship management and project management.

Templin earned a Computer Numerical Control Technician Associate Degree from Ridgewater College in Hutchinson, MN.

Lucas Bauer

The Matsuura LUMEX group recently added Lucas Bauer as LUMEX Application Engineer. Bauer will train and support distributor engineers and Matsuura customers in the operation and troubleshooting of the Matsuura LUMEX Series product line for machine software, machining applications, cutting conditions and control functions.

Bauer will also work alongside the LUMEX team in Matsuura's LUMEX Production Services to help customers quickly realize the benefits of additive manufacturing.

Matsuura recently launched LUMEX Production Services, a Metal Additive Manufacturing Service Bureau that provides the production of 3D Metal printed and machined parts.

"Metal 3D printing can benefit tooling, injection molding, CNC machining and die casting processes and operations. We will work with you throughout the entire 3D printing process to enable our customers to fully realize the benefits throughout the life of their products," Houle explained.

As a Matsuura LUMEX Application Engineer, Bauer will also perform time studies, test cuts, CAM and manual programming. In addition, he will create CAD models, set up and execute machine demos for showroom machines and technical workshops/open houses, and troubleshoot machine functions and Matsuura software.
