The VF series from KAAST offers options for customers to prioritize performance, rigidity and/or speed so users the ability to receive only what they need for their individual applications. This vertical tapping center features a tempered stress relieved cast-iron frame and class C3 ballscrews for accuracy and durability. All models include a fully enclosed splash guard, 16 pocket tool changer, direct drive 12,000 RPM BT 30 spindle and an automatic lubrication system, as well as many other features.
For drilling, tapping, threading and hole-making, the VF-Drill offers a 16-position sun-style tool changer to go with the 12,000 RPM BT 30 spindle. Offering a 27.5" or 35.4" x 16.5" table that can hold up to 770 lbs., the VF-Drill provides ±0.0004/12" positioning accuracy and ±0.0002" repeatability accuracy. It has footprint of only 69" x 97".
Running the newest generation of the FANUC Series 0i control systems, the VF series machines can receive programming at the machine via manual programming, USB or CF card or ethernet. The Series 0i brings faster, more accurate performance to a wide range of milling applications with more standard features, more advanced capabilities and faster communications.
These machines are now being offered as turn-key. Customers now have the option to have the VF Mills pre-programmed and ready to run upon delivery for immediate ROI and plug and play operation.
