Fabricating Machinery and Industrial Lasers

TRUMPF will showcase its latest products in three separate booths in three themed areas: the forming and fabricating pavilion; the tube and pipe pavilion; and the 3-D and additive manufacturing pavilion.

In booth A2601, the forming and fabricating pavilion, TRUMPF will highlight its TruConnect approach to manufacturing through the customized production of a part. Attendees will receive live production updates as TRUMPF's innovative fabricating machinery, automation solutions and supporting technologies work together to keep information and processes connected. In addition, the TruServices team will be on hand to discuss how TRUMPF supports the entire life cycle of user equipment with the best financing options, training, consumables, tooling, service and other solutions.

Technology on display:

  • TruMatic 1000 Fiber: The TruMatic 1000 fiber, TRUMPF's first entry-level punch laser combination machine with a solid-state laser, features a modular design which enables users to add to it as business grows. The patented Delta Drive moves both the electric punching head and the laser along the Y-axis while the sheet moves in the other direction. This increases machine dynamics, productivity and process stability, contributes to a compact footprint and enables material handling options such as the SheetMaster Compact. The machine's integrated protective housing, a requirement for safe laser processing, automatically moves out of the way during punching operations for maximum visibility and accessibility.
  • TruLaser Weld 5000: The TruLaser Weld 5000 is a turn-key system for automatic laser welding that allows users to weld deep and strong seams or nicely rounded, smooth seams using one system. This versatile system can be precisely tailored to meet user needs with different component positioners. The 5000 is equipped with FusionLine, the next great advancement in laser welding. FusionLine enables welding across gaps that typically are too large for laser welding by coordinating the laser, beam guidance and optics.
  • TruLaser: Laser Processing: TRUMPF will also highlight the TruLaser 2030 fiber with a 4 kW TruDisk laser. The TruLaser 2030 fiber is now available with BrightLine fiber for increased performance in cutting thin to thick materials. The TRUMPF booth will also feature the TruLaser 5030 fiber, which features high processing speeds and reproducible, high part quality, even for complex contours.
  • TruBend: Precision Bending: The TruBend 3100 press brake, TruBend 5130 press brake with ToolMaster, the compact and efficient electric TruBend 7036 press brake and the TruBend Cell 7000 will also be on display. The hydraulic TruBend 5130 features a press force of 141 tons, a 6-axis backgauge and two patented angle measurement systems for maximum precision in bending. The I-axis enables the machine to shift the die bed from one position to the next for hemming, multiple radius tools or multiple height tools all in a single set-up.
  • TruMark: Permanent Part Marking: With its excellent focusability due to high beam quality, the TruMark 5050 is suitable for high-quality engraving and the finest of structures. It will be shown in a TruMark Station 7000.
  • TruTool: Portable Power Tools: The TruTool TSC 100 slat cleaner, portable power tools for cutting, fastening, beveling and deburring sheet metal, will also be on display. This tool removes slag build-up on the support slats of 2-D laser cutting machines without interrupting production and automatically adjusts to the thickness of the slag to maintain impressive working speeds as it travels.

At booth B103 in the 3D and Additive Manufacturing Pavilion, TRUMPF will show the following products:

  • TruPrint 1000: The TruPrint 1000 for additive manufacturing enables users to build metal components layer by layer using any laser weldable metal in powdered form. This laser metal fusion (LMF) process is suited for parts that are complex in their geometry, such as those with internal channels and hollow spaces, short production runs and individual parts. All components, including the laser, optics, process enclosure, filter unit and control cabinet are found within the TruPrint 1000's compact housing.
  • TruLaser Cell 3000 with Laser Metal Deposition: Also showcased at FABTECH this year is the TruLaser Cell 3000 with Laser Metal Deposition package. This high-performance, 5-axis laser solution offers variable laser beam forming, fast changeover between processes such as welding, cutting, LMD, etc. and other benefits.
  • TruLaser Tube 5000 Fiber: In the Tube and Pipe Pavilion booth B11013, TRUMPF will showcase the TruLaser Tube 5000 fiber. This machine utilizes the strengths of solid-state lasers. For the user, this means short processing times for a large range of possible tubes and profiles.
