Side-Clamping Combinations for Clamping Security

ISCAR has introduced chucks which combine hydraulic clamping with side screw clamping for Weldon type shank tools. "The HYDRO-SURE adapters can be used for standard Weldon shank tools - meaning that there is no need for special/costly tools and adapters which prevent tools from pullout," said a company spokesperson.
According to the company, features of the adapters include:
- High torque transmission when using standard Weldon type shank tools
- Axial and radial movement prevention of the cutter - tool pullout eliminated
- Accurate concentricity of 0.003 mm
- Rigid peripheral hydraulic clamping also features vibration dampening
- Suitable for both heavy-duty and finishing applications
- Enhanced surface finishing and prolonged tool life in H.P.C. machining.
The HYDRO-SURE chucks are available for a tool diameter range of 16-32 mm:
- HSK A63 12-25 mm
- HSK A100 12-32 mm
- BT40 12-25 mm
- BT50 12-32 mm
- DIN69871 40 12-25 mm
- DIN69871 50 12-32 mm.
