OptiPro Systems Partners with Bodor Laser

(l-r) Chad Carta, President of XLI Manufacturing, and Mike Bechtold, President of OptiPro

OptiPro Systems, located in the greater Rochester area since 1982, has added the Bodor fiber laser product line to its current portfolio of precision CNC machine tools and accessories.

OptiPro Systems will represent Bodor Laser throughout New York State with complete sales and service support. A dual-use Bodor fiber laser machine, having also the capability for tube cutting, has been installed at OptiPro for customer application projects as well as for customer demonstrations.

"Bodor Laser, an international manufacturer dedicated to industrial laser solutions, has the world's largest laser cutting machine manufacturing facility totaling in excess of 300,000 sq. ft.," said a Bodor spokesperson. "With a staff of over 100 R&D researchers alone, we have become the number one sales volume supplier of laser cutting machines worldwide. Our 40 kW model achieves a high point in the laser cutting industry."

Mike Bechtold, President of OptiPro Systems, said, "We are extremely pleased to add the Bodor Laser products to our line-up of industry-leading CNC machine tool brands. With the operating speeds and accuracies of the Bodor laser machines, our OptiPro customers will now be able to achieve greater productivity results. Rigid cast iron bed designs provide no deformation while the cast aluminum machine crossbeams increase efficiencies."

One of OptiPro's customers, XLI Manufacturing (Rochester, NY), purchased a Bodor P4020 fiber laser cutting machine last year. Chad Carta, President of XLI, said that the Bodor laser machine has helped his company "to continue succeeding in today's competitive environment. The Bodor laser has allowed XLI to significantly expand its fabrication efforts by adding efficiency and capability across the organization. Both the Bodor laser machine along with OptiPro's excellent local support help separate us from the rest."

Other machine tool builders that OptiPro represents include Methods Machine Tools, Nakamura Tome, FANUC Wire EDM and FANUC Robodrill, Yasda, Kiwa, Hyundai WIA, OKK, Flow Waterjet, Swistek and Davenport CNC Hybrid. OptiPro has also been the exclusive NY State Mastercam dealer since 1983.
