Safran Group Deploys MetalFAB1 to Boost Productivity in AM

Additive Industries has announced that the Safran Additive Manufacturing Campus-part of the Safran Group-has successfully deployed its flagship MetalFAB1 industrial 3D printer.

Safran selected the modular and scalable MetalFAB1 3D printer for its high-quality capabilities, its safe operation and its gains in productivity. The company uses the system to manufacture highly complex parts for its aviation, defense and space business in which parts manufacturing has to meet the most stringent technical and quality requirements.

Ian C. Howe, CEO at Additive Industries, said, "Our technologies are an excellent fit for the highly technical market Safran is operating in, and we are committed to contributing to Safran's endeavor in developing new applications with additive manufacturing (AM)."
