New TIG Welding Machine

Tetrix XQ 230

The Expert 3.0 controls are operated by click wheel and are user-friendly. The high-resolution 7-inch color display shows all the parameter settings and flow diagrams.

The Tetrix XQ 230 can be optionally equipped with the Cool XQ cooling unit, welding torch and trolley for transport at the construction site or in the workshop.

Due to the water-based cooling system, the welding torch can be operated continuously even at high welding currents and under extreme workloads.

The Tetrix XQ 230 TIG welding machine from EWM AG is designed for continuous operation even on weak grids or when in generator operation. Depending on the welding task, the user can choose from numerous TIG and MMA functions. Up to four pulse variants are available. Users benefit from ideal welding properties with a more stable arc and optimum weld seams. The Tetrix XQ 230 is available in DC and AC/DC variants. Different materials can be welded: from low and high-alloy steels, to aluminum and aluminum alloys, all the way to nonferrous heavy metals and titanium. The spectrum of applications range from the food industry to aerospace, from the chemicals sector to mechanical and plant engineering, as well as the metalworking trades.

The Tetrix XQ 230 is designed to be user-friendly. Operators can choose between the Comfort 3.0 controls or the new Expert 3.0 controls with a high-resolution 7-inch color display that clearly shows all the parameter settings and flow diagrams. All functions are directly accessible and lots of illustrated instructions and quick menus provide additional support when operating the machine. The controls can be precisely set with the ergonomic click wheel. EWM designed the machine without a touchscreen to make it convenient to operate even while wearing welder's gloves. The user can program five individual welding tasks as favorites and access them simply at the push of a button.

Several other details help to improve work processes. For example, the operating status is always displayed on the integrated LED status bar. The ergonomic design of the TIG welding machine allows for safe and easy work. The robust construction also makes the machine suitable for use in rough environments. The controls are protected against contamination by a cover cap, but the machine can still be operated with the cover cap closed. The low-noise, temperature-controlled fan provides optimized air flow. The Tetrix XQ 230 can be optionally equipped with a cooling unit, welding torch and trolley for transport at the construction site or in the workshop. The water-based cooling system Cool XQ allows for continuous use of the welding torch even at high welding currents, under extreme workloads or unfavorable ambient conditions.
