Tsugami America, the exclusive North American importer of Precision Tsugami machine tools, announced that it has appointed Salay Quaranta to the position of Vice President of Sales for North America and Austin Campbell as Business Unit Manager.

As the Vice President of Sales, Quaranta will lead the sales team, overseeing the Tsugami America Business Unit Managers and regional sales managers in their efforts to meet and exceed the evolving customer demands, positioning Tsugami America ahead in a competitive market.

"We are very pleased to welcome Salay Quaranta to the Tsugami America team. Her previous experience affords her a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry while bringing a fresh, innovative perspective to our growing brand. As the company's sales efforts become more refined and strategic, adding strong, forward-thinking personnel to our roster is an utmost priority," said Michael Mugno, President of Tsugami America.

Quaranta has nearly two decades of experience in brand and business development within the manufacturing industry, with companies such as TRUMPF, Inc., alongside a decorated engineering background with organizations including Stanadyne Corporation, Fraunhofer ILT and Joining Technologies.

"I am thrilled to have joined Tsugami America and a remarkable team. They have a strong reputation for innovation and collaboration. There is a deep appreciation of their customers, and Tsugami is committed to supporting them with precision solutions and service. I look forward to collaborating with talented individuals who share the same passion for manufacturing and technology," said Quaranta.

Salay Quaranta received her bachelor's and master of science degrees in materials science & engineering from the University of Connecticut. She is a member of Women In Manufacturing and has served on the industrial advisory board for the Optics and Photonics Technology (LEOT) and Electronic Systems Engineering Technology (ESET) at Springfield Technical Community College.

In his role as Business Unit Manager, Campbell will work alongside current Business Unit Manager Scott Anthony. Together, they will manage the team of regional sales managers and work with Tsugami America's national distribution sales network to provide premier solutions for small parts manufacturers in a myriad of industries from medical, aerospace, defense and beyond.

"I am very excited to be a part of the Tsugami America team. I look forward to meeting Tsugami users nationwide and working with them to find the best solutions to their manufacturing challenges," said Campbell.

Campbell spent the last decade with the Henkel Corporation, where he worked in engineering and business development roles. During his tenure, he spent time in numerous divisions within the corporation, including Henkel Adhesives and Sonderhoff USA.

"We are very excited to have Austin Campbell on board as a new Business Unit Manager," said Mugno. "His robust background in developing and maintaining strategic customer relationships will be invaluable to his role with Tsugami America."
