Hardinge Inc. offers its newest 5-axis vertical machining center (VMC), the Bridgeport XT630 5-Axis. Bridgeport's new generation full 5-axis VMC is a fully digital, high-quality machine tool designed to achieve maximum capacity and performance in the aerospace, mold and die, medical and automotive industries, as well as many other manufacturing sectors.
"Manufactured from quality sourced grey cast iron to the highest standards, the machine offers a sophisticated yet user-friendly Siemens 840D control with a 19 inch LCD," said a company spokesperson. Axis travels (XYZ) are 762 mm (30") x 630 mm (24.8") x 610 mm (24").
Standard machine equipment includes:
- BIG-PLUS CT40 spindle
- 15,000 RPM direct-coupled spindle with oil chiller
- Coolant chip flush system
- Three-color stack light
- 24 tool swing-arm ATC
- Pre-wiring for Renishaw part probe
- Through-ball screw chiller
- Preparation for through spindle coolant (with rotary union)
- Remote MPG hand wheel
- Auto central grease lubrication
- A-axis encoder.
Options include through-spindle coolant (280 PSI), XYZ linear scale, hinge or auger style chip conveyors, part probe, tool probe, C-axis rotary encoder, dynamic collision monitoring and a mist collector.
