The Mycenter-HX800iL HMC from Kitamura is designed for large part machining requiring a larger work envelope and a higher degree of precision. Featuring a 68,200 lb net weight, this machining center can be used for the automotive, aerospace, heavy construction, oil field and power generation industries.
The Mycenter-HX800iL offers a large work envelope (work size of Ø59.1" x 59.1") and pallet size of 31.50" x 31.50". An XYZ axis stroke of 55" x 49.21" x 52.16", clamping power of 30,710 lbs and a table load capacity of 3,300 lbs allow for the machining of larger workpieces and complex fixturing.
Constructed of Meehanite cast iron, the Mycenter-HX800iL provides damping capacity and vibration absorption while maintaining accuracies of ±0.000079" full stroke and repeatability of ±0.000039". Solid box guideways combine with patented twin ballscrew and dual feedback technology to provide feedrates of 1,969 IPM. All contact surfaces are hand-scraped for full surface contact and proper alignment.
The Mycenter-HX800iL comes standard with a 35 HP, 12,000 RPM 2-step geared, dual contact spindle that provides 280.3 ft-lbs of max. torque with high end fine finish capability. An optional 8,000 RPM high torque spindle is an available option with output max. torque of 699.3 ft-lbs. Kitamura's multi-step, energy efficient spindle design can provide savings of between 40% and 50% in Kilowatt hours, according to the company.
A standard full 4th axis rotary table is equipped with a precision rotary scale (Pos ±2.5 Arc/Sec) and indexing time of 0.68 sec. for 90° (22.2 RPM) rapid feed. The Mycenter-HX800iL utilizes a positive 180° rotating pallet change system that allows for the loading of parts while machining.
The Mycenter-HX800iL comes standard with a 50-tool fixed port ATC system with tool change time of three seconds. Up to 250 tools can be added in the field.
The Kitamura-FANUC 16iMB control features standard 1,280 meters memory, 128 MB data server, HPCC by RISC Control, NURBS Interpolation, 16 million pulse encoder system and Ethernet connection.
