High Speed Laser Marking, Small Workspace

Trotec Laser has launched the ProMarker 300 and SpeedMarker 300 compact desktop workstations that are designed for economic, high volume marking of small to mid-sized items.

"The ProMarker 300 combines all the advantages of galvo high-speed marking in a small footprint while offering optimum safety (laser class 2) and ergonomics," said a company spokesperson. The printer driver software, DirectMark, marks directly from any graphics, CAD or label printing software. The ProMarker 300 may be used for marking metal or plastic pieces in high volumes. It is a flexible tool for producing promotional items, type plates or for the laser marking of components.

"The SpeedMarker 300 is the economic solution for all industrial marking tasks along the production chain," said the spokesperson. "It marks metals and plastics at minimal costs and makes users independent from external marking services. With the included SpeedMark software, everything from direct input to a fully automated marking workflow is possible, without special training."

Both models feature closed and solid housings, which classify the marking stations as laser class 2. This means no protection equipment is needed (laser safety glasses, architectural shielding) when operating the laser. The laser systems can be used as a seated or standing workstation, and the open access to the work area makes ergonomic part handling possible. Fume and dust can be removed with optional exhaust systems.

"The core of the laser marking systems are maintenance-free and air-cooled galvo fiber lasers, which ensure a long machine lifetime and perfect marking results on both metals and plastics," said the spokesperson. "With a broad range of configurations and options, including lenses, rotary attachments or a pass-through for big and bulky parts, the customer can build the system as needed. Options can be changed at any time if requirements change later."
