Lucas, A Fermat Group Company, specializes in horizontal boring machines (HBMs). Lucas has been acquired by a Czech company, the Fermat Group. Lucas has appointed Vincent D. Yurak as a new Regional Sales Manager for the U.S. Yurak brings with him over 10 years of sales and marketing experience through fields ranging from aerospace to professional sports. He held a management role in the aerospace field prior to being Director of Sales and Marketing with a company directly aligned with NCAA Sports, the NFL and CFL.
Yurak, a longtime resident of northeastern Ohio, is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University where he is an active advisor to students on campus. In addition to a Bachelor's Degree, Yurak holds a Master of Business Administration with dual concentrations in Management and Science from Cleveland State University. "Yurak will expand the sales of Fermat HBMs in the U.S. to the next level," said a company spokesperson.
"Working in the aerospace industry, I learned that repeatable precision is crucial in this and other industries with similar guidelines. While working as Director of Sales and Marketing I honed my skills of personal interaction. I am excited to combine these skills by stepping into this new leadership role and establishing a reputable market for Lucas-Fermat products in the U.S.," said Yurak.
Lucas has also hired Rodney Zimmerman as Regional Sales Manager. Zimmerman brings 20 years of manufacturing and distribution experience from the metal storage products industry and sheet metal fabrication. His background includes product development and improvement, as well as creating and growing distribution and dealer networks, supported by a knowledgeable factory sales force. "He specializes in providing distributor training and product awareness, and building solid, long-term customer relationships," said a company spokesperson. Zimmerman is a graduate of Liberty University, with a BS in Business Administration.
