Triple Pass Mist and Smoke Collector

The Tri-Mist 1000 Mist Collector from Ketcham & Company is a five stage high capacity mist and smoke collector. "This newest addition to the Tri-Mist product line features a triple pass electronic precipitator cell design combined with mechanical impingement, resulting in a versatile and effective system," said a company spokesperson.
The triple pass ESP cell design by itself provides 159 sq. ft. of collection area. Combining with pre-filtration, consisting of 4" of mechanical separation and impingement with a 1" final filter, results in an efficient compact machine mountable system. The Tri-Mist 1000 is designed to accept a high efficiency HEPA post filtration option to produce a higher level of air filtration. The HEPA option provides filtration efficiency levels of 99.97% DOP @ .3 microns.
The Tri-Mist 1000 is equally effective on water soluble and oil coolants. The system draws the oil/coolant laden air stream through two 2" wire mesh impingers. It then passes vertically through a bank of three electrostatic precipitator cells, each with 53 sq. ft. of surface collection area. Each ESP cell is powered by its own power supply. Airflow is controllable from 50 cfm to 1,000 cfm by a variable speed motor control mounted on the front panel.
In the recovery phase, the collected coolant is returned to the machine tool sump, resulting in reduced machine tool coolant consumption and expense. Tri-Mist mist collectors are designed to be vibration free and feature low energy consumption. The Tri-Mist 1000 can be ceiling mounted, floor mounted or installed using its new low profile machine mount for an easy plug & play installation.
