GWS Tool Group Announces Personnel Appointments

GWS Tool Group has announced several personnel appointments.

Director of Human Resources

Jaimie Herbert has filled the position of Director of HR. In this role, she will be responsible for overseeing the human resources department for the organization, with an emphasis on streamlining employee programs that continue to build upon the strong culture in place while ensuring the company meets corporate goals and established regulations.

"Jaimie's extensive experience in HR management and best practices make her a perfect addition to our growing organization," said Kevin Zimmerman, CFO. "Her background as it pertains to everything from benefits programs to proactive onboarding techniques will have an immediate positive impact on our organization."

Prior to joining GWS, Herbert was the Director of HR for an auto finance company in Indianapolis, IN, and was soon managing the entire HR function including HR strategy and operations, HR policy, employee engagement, benefits and employee wellness program. Previously, she worked in the finance and healthcare industries and specialized in recruitment and onboarding. She has a Bachelor of Arts in human resources from Ferris State University and holds her PHR and SHRM-CP certifications.

Applications Specialist

Shannon Grismore has filled a position of Application Specialist at GWS Tool Group. In this role, Grismore will be responsible for supporting GWS distributors and key metalworking customers in the application of GWS high performance cutting tool solutions. Cutting tools from GWS include both standard and purpose-built tooling, such as end mills, form tools, step tools, drills, reamers, taps and turning inserts.

"Shannon's well-rounded background fits the mold of a GWS Applications Specialist perfectly," said Adam Lafferty, Executive Vice President of Sales. "His background in metalworking and programming, coupled with his industry experience in solid round and indexable cutting tools, will add tremendous value to our customers."

Grismore started his career 22 years ago as a machinist and programmer, and spent seven years in the cutting tool sales and application field, helping customers improve processes and ultimately their bottom line. Grismore will be responsible for supporting GWS distributors and end users in Indiana and Ohio.

Senior Applications Specialist

Brant Pascavis has filled a position of Sr. Application Specialist at GWS Tool Group. In this role, Pascavis will be responsible for supporting GWS distributors and key metalworking customers in the application of GWS high performance cutting tool solutions.

"Brant's extensive metalworking and management experience is an ideal fit for our organization," said Adam Lafferty, Executive Vice President of Sales. "His background in both the die/mold and automotive industries, coupled with a long successful track record working with key distribution, will immediately add value to our customers."

Pascavis started his career in the plastic injection mold industry as a tool and die apprentice and then a machine tool application engineer. He then moved into the cutting tool world where he held roles from high speed machining specialist to East USA sales manager. His most recently was group manager for a new automotive sales division focused on the U.S. big three. For GWS, Brant will be responsible for business development and key customer management in Michigan.
