Stainless Steel Beam Clamp

The stainless steel beam clamp is available in 2,000 lb. and 4,000 lb. capacities.

The chain hoist, available in 1 ton and 2 ton capacities, is designed for use in corrosive environments.

OZ Lifting Products LLC has introduced a range of stainless steel products that meet a variety of standards, including those of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

Beam Clamp

Available in 2,000 lb. and 4,000 lb. capacities, the beam clamp (for I-beams) is often used in conjunction with a hoist and serves as an additional option if the end user wants to quickly mount the beam clamp along a beam and attach a hoist to make a lift.

Steve Napieralski, President at OZ Lifting, said: "In simple terms, a beam clamp allows the user to quickly and easily attach and remove the clamp to both sides of a beam to add an anchor point for hoists and other overhead lifting equipment. Importantly, beam clamps are not intended to be used as a lifting device; they are to be used as an anchor point for a hoist or other overhead equipment and the capacity applies only to vertical loads."

The beam clamps are designed for use in corrosive environments where the properties of stainless steel make it a preferred material. As Napieralski explained, they are suited to any application where the user needs to be able to quickly and easily attach and remove the clamp as an anchor point for their hoist or other lifting device. It requires no assembly and is ready to use out of the box. The stainless steel beam clamp does not require maintenance beyond that of a traditional steel product.

Chain Hoist

The chain hoist is available in 1 ton and 2 ton capacities. The composition of the metal prevents rusting and serves as heat resistance. Coastal and marine industries are among the sectors where lifting products are integral to operations in extreme environments that place added demands on equipment.

The stainless steel chain hoist has standard heights of lift (lengths of pull) of 10', 15', 20' and 30'. The larger unit has two chain falls while the smaller hoist has one. However, it does provide custom lengths to meet the requirements of the application. The net weights of the hoist heads are 28.7 lbs. and 43 lbs.

Napieralsk said: "The hoist is lightweight and minimal effort is required to lift loads, but it is durable enough for some of the most demanding marketplaces."

The product requires a similar maintenance program to hoists manufactured with non-stainless steel, according to Napieralski. He also stressed the importance of adhering to maintenance and inspection programs, especially if the hoist is being operated in a highly corrosive environment. OZ Lifting outlines these requirements in an owner's manual, included with every shipment.

Additional features include fully enclosed gearing; fully machined lift wheel; weather-proof holding brake; individual test certificate and serial number; and forged stainless steel hooks and safety latches. OZ Lifting offers a free spare set of latches, located on the bottom hook. All gears and shafts run on roller bearings.

Push Beam Trolley

The push beam trolley is available in 1 ton and 2 ton capacities. The push beam trolleys weigh 26.5 lbs. and 43 lbs. and fit most common I-, S- and W-beams.

"End users have different types of beams depending on the construction requirements of the building or structure where the lifting equipment will be installed and employed. Each beam offers unique properties that ensures an appropriate level of support in each instance. The trolley is accordingly adjusted using washers that are supplied with each shipment, in addition to an owner's manual and test certificate," said the spokesperson.

Additional features of the product, which is suited for use with manual or powered hoists, include an individual test certificate and serial number; stainless steel identity tag; anti-drop plate; and precision ball bearing trolley wheels.

The trolley is designed for use in corrosive environments where the properties of stainless steel make it a preferred material.
